About

Re-Unity Nepal Rehabilitation Center is a Non Governmental Organization working in the field of substance abuse since 2010.  Since the establishment of  RNRC, focused on drug treatment and  rehabilitation program, and upgraded  a "Peer Recovery Guidance" modality based on the "Love and Concern" (L.C.) approach since October 2010  that stresses on detoxification through psycho social method without- with medication, "restructuring of thinking patterns", "emotional management stability", "behavioral changes", "vocational survival skill building", "Spiritual Awakening" and "Re-integration into society".

RNRC is not only limited to treatment facility but at the same time working closely with DUs/IDUs to reduce drug led HIV issues in the country. We have been providing treatment, care and support to the target group .  

Goal:

To strengthen the national framework strategy for drug abuse control, risk reduction, crime reduction, rehabilitation and counseling services for people using drug generally, those considered to be 'at-risk' of contracting HIV/AIDS, children and adolescents and part of a co-coordinated national health system.

Objectives:

  To provide drug treatment and rehabilitation program for substance users in Nepal.

2.     To provide a drop-in, counseling and rehabilitation centre for substance/drug users

3.     To provide outreach services and create public awareness through various media, school programs and street outreach services, against substance/drug use

4.     To offer training in similar field of work to the staff of various other organizations and work together to tackle the problem

5.     To establish a support group for PLWHA and recovering substance/drug users, their spouse and children

6.     To work with the children of the substance users and PLWHA

7.     To collaborate with activities of similar organizations

To include harm reduction measures as one of the components in counseling and rehabilitation program.

rehabilitation program is focused on whole person recovery with the individuals' rehabilitation & reintegration into the family, community & society. The treatment module in practice is  "Love and Concern" (L.C.) Concept that includes the following components:

The treatment period is for Six  (6) months at the minimum with chances of expansion depending upon the individual. Re-Unity Nepal Treatment Center also provides a One month Detoxification package according to the needs of patients focusing on relapse and multiple relapse cases.
